Lunch at St. Joe’s

Sack Lunch - Available when you or someone who love’s you makes it.

  • Send your child with paper plates, utensils and condiments if needed. These are not available through the café.

  • Microwaves are NOT available for warming food.

Cold or “Sack” lunch is an option many students enjoy at St. Joe’s. Parents send all kinds of sandwiches, leftovers and interesting lunch items for their children. Sometimes Mr. Kelly offers to trade students for their lunches but they never seem to want his lunch…. “What’s wrong with cold Spam anyway?”

Students who have a sack lunch are able to purchase milk if they’d like.

Hot Lunch - Available to all students K-8th grade Monday through Thursday. The menu is posted on FACTS for your reference and planning.

The cost per student is:

  • Hot Lunch: K-8: $4.25

    • Main Menu lunch per plate for K-8th Grades = $4.25/Plate

    • Salad Bar lunch per place for K-8th Grades = $4.25/Plate

  • Milk: $0.45/Carton (whether it is White or Chocolate)

    • This is the case whether or not school lunch is purchased.

      • When a child wants to get a milk, their name will be marked in the lunch line, and their FACTS account will be charged for the milk purchased that day.

      • The milk is a separate purchase each time the students elect the milk.

      • The reason we went to this is due to all the waste from years past of parents purchasing milk, and then kiddos not taking a milk, so it was spoiling and getting thrown in the trash each week.

Make sure to let the office and your child’s homeroom teacher know of any allergies to be concerned with during lunchtime and how severe they are.

During Lent the hot lunch program will abstain from meat on Fridays.
