St. Joseph's Catholic School Mission Statement

St. Joseph's Catholic School is a dynamic, faith-filled community where each child is challenged to excel and grow in mind, body, and spirit as an image of God in our world.

"We choose to send our children to St. Joseph’s Catholic School because it is a wonderful community of caring, like-minded people who share our faith and values.  We feel it is an important long term investment in our children’s future to be in a learning environment where faith is the center, expectations are high and there is emphasis on formation of the whole child."

  • Nurture each individual’s natural desire to learn.

A capital campaign was begun in 1958 by Monsignor Skeehan to build a school at St. Joseph's Parish in Kennewick.  This vision for Catholic education in Kennewick is at the heart of the mission of the Church and the great commission of Jesus who said “Go forth and make disciples of all nations.”  At its original founding, in the 1964-65 school year, the school was run by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.

What parents are saying...

"There are so many choices for families to consider when moving into a new area including neighborhoods and schools. When we relocated to the Tri-Cities, my husband and I wanted to continue providing our three children with the best educational experiences we could find. After some research and various school visitations, we chose St. Joseph’s Catholic School. We love the faith based curriculum, caring and supportive staff, updated facilities, and smaller classroom sizes. The culture is simply the best! Our kids are thriving in their faith, academics and friendships! Thanks SJS!!"
